5 Things We Can Learn From Lady Gaga’s Triumph
From doubt to domination! Keep fighting, keep pushing, and never give up!
Superstar Lady Gaga, born Stefani Germanotta, previously endured intimidators in her college days years ago. Her former NYU classmates created a closed Facebook group named, “Stefani Germanotta, you will never be famous.”
The infamous now-deleted Facebook page was used to humiliate her to throw her off her journey. It was defamatory and disrespectful on her former classmates’ behalf. Putting in extra time to belittle and slander her only shows her strength to overcome everything and succeed as she is much more than famous, which is something that her enemies feared the most.
We all know what it’s like to feel trapped and surrounded by the thoughts from others around us, and we become equipped with their negative thoughts about us. Sometimes, we may feel like there is no hope of escaping the constant antagonizing and offensive opinions. We feel as though we have to live with being weighed down because of someone’s or multiple peoples’ comments. It can definitely change our entire perspective of ourselves and believe as though the outsiders are right…only if we let them!
Our enemies make it their mission to psych us out of what is truly meant for us by creating harmful conditions. Being surrounded by so many people that contribute to damaging our self-esteem and image can be detrimental to our mental health, especially if we have to encounter these people in classrooms, work environments, etc.
Lady Gaga’s past obstacles can help us learn to heal better and believe that we can do anything we put our minds to. Something that is not talked about enough is the everlasting effects of former judgment and hurtful old opinions.
Block out others’ projection
When people start to doubt us, it is our duty to ignore the insults. I know that it can be a difficult task because bullies have continual patterns to try to make us never forget about what is being said about us. Their level of convincing us that their opinions are true is very high, but we have to remember that what other people think about us is none of our concern because none of it is true.
2. We have to keep going
The infamous Facebook page could have potentially given Lady Gaga the thought of giving up completely since there were people that joined the hurtful group that mutually agreed with one another. It was her reaction to the ordeal that makes her journey special because her decision to ignore was super powerful and beneficial to her growth as a person, growth to her career, and positive accolades.
3. Our past experiences with bullying does not define us
We are who we believe we are. Whatever everyone else has to say about us has nothing to do with us at all. Opinions should be disregarded, and they should not stick with us. Our minds should be free from unnecessary judgment.
4. Don’t stay in a sad position FOREVER
Lady Gaga did not stay sulking with sadness after the page was created. Could she have? Yes. But did she stay dwelling on it? ABSOLUTELY NOT!
That is the true power of believing in ourselves and having the strength to keep going. Staying stuck could prevent us from our true purpose.
5. Success is the best revenge
What would have happened if Lady Gaga believed her haters? I GUESS WE’LL NEVER KNOW!
